The Crow Collection, in the Arts District, is a set of galleries that are dedicated to the arts and cultures of China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia. Over 300 works of art, dating from 3500 B.C. to the early 20th century are on display, including paintings, sculptures, architectural pieces and precious jade ornaments from China. The museum consists of three galleries: Gallery one is dedicated to Japanese art. Gallery two is the Chinese gallery. The Chinese gallery’s jade collection is one of the finest in the nation. Most of the items are from the 18th century, when the traditional Chinese jade industry was at its zenith. Gallery three is dominated by a large facade of an 18th century Indian residence, in elaborately carved red limestone. There is a remarkable fountain with a Ming bronze statue of a Daoist god.
